MT Week - What happened when I transferred my pension to PensionBee
This is the second of a three-part review of my experience with PensionBee. You can read part one here.
Part two will focus on how transferring a pension into PensionBee and making direct deposits actually work, as well as my experience with the processes.
Before I launch into it, I wanted to announce some changes to Money Talk.
As I’ve been telling premium subscribers, writing a weekly newsletter of ~1,500 words for the last two years has equated to a lot of work.
And a lot has changed in that time.
I was on furlough when Money Talk started, but when I returned to my day job as an editor, I suddenly found myself juggling.
I thought I would have more time to spend developing the newsletter when I went freelance last January.
But the reality is that the current cost of living crisis means I’m having to pick up more work to achieve my personal financial goals.
Looking ahead, my currently very hectic schedule is untenable.
So from September, Money Talk will be rolling back to a previous iteration, but with some changes.
The newsletter will still go out weekly, but these long features will only appear every other week.
On the alternate weeks, there will be highlights from the money news cycle - a sort of here’s what you should be reading right now - as well as any other titbits.
The usual two-week hiatus will take place over Christmas - when payment will be suspended - and then, from January 2023, there will hopefully be a regular monthly series in place of one of the long features.
I’ll explain more closer to the time.
Meanwhile, back to the usual scheduling as I discuss how my pension transfers went.
As before, this review is my experience and personal opinion only and shouldn’t constitute any sort of financial advice. For that, you would need to go to someone who’s regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority, who can tailor their advice to your situation.
