MT Week - 6 things you can do to help yourself out of debt
In the last couple of weeks, I’ve written about what happens when you go to a debt charity for help and some of your options for making debt more manageable.
These can be hugely helpful but there are also things you can do to improve your chances of getting on top of debt.
So this week, I’m focusing on some of the things you can do to help yourself out of debt - or even to avoid debt in the first place.
Of course, these assume you haven’t reached a crisis situation.
That means you’re struggling to cover all your basic expenses, or have a commercial debt (other than a mortgage) that’s significantly bigger than your annual salary and that you’re struggling to meet the interest payment on.
If any of these are true for you, a debt advisor would be better placed at offering you tailored advice for your situation.
