MT Review - October 2020
What a month it's been

After yesterday’s announcement, you’re probably thinking how did we get here? Me too.
October has been like doing shots in a bar (you probably need to picture quite hard at this point). You feel OK round after round, and then it suddenly hits you, and you’re down.
But reflecting back on the month, there has been a steady trickle of help announced at every turn. It doesn’t go far enough, or wide enough, but as always it’s better than nothing.
As we go into another difficult month, that’s worth bearing in mind. So is the importance of looking at how we can adapt to survive right now.
Meanwhile, all the top stories from the last month below:
4 October 2020: Support for borrowers, bad news for the self-employed and money for green homes
11 October 2020: Lockdown help, coronavirus unemployment and careers options
18 October 2020: Negative interest rates, branching out and new PayPal fee
25 October 2020: Housing decisions, bargaining chip and cash hoarding
